Banked a full month

💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰

This is a first-ever achievement!! 🎉

So, not only is this the highest amount I've #banked yet, but it's also just over a full month's worth of monetary #conditionals. Based on the way I've structured the Pig Pilot system, that means I could take a full month's vacation without breaking a sweat!
Of course, I want to keep building my #bank up even more. That means I need to keep surpassing my #minimummonetary and hitting bonuses. I've hit a streak of 3 bank bonuses in January, so if I can keep that going into February, I'll see some serious bonuses this month!

#backtowork

tl;dr I've banked a full month's worth of income — the highest bank balance I've achieved thus far! I could totally take a 4-week vacation now, but I want to keep building my bank up, which means more surplus weeks (above the minimum monetary) at higher amounts, so I can continue the bonus streak.

My posting has wavered a bit here because I've been #increasing my efforts everywhere else:
  • lots of meetings
  • new #clients
  • more projects

This week is my 4th week in a row exceeding my #minimummonetary 🙌

I have heard that the feeling of #overwhelm – with projects, managing time, keeping up with clients, etc – is a symptom of your #business being in the 'expand' stage. Apparently, I'm no longer a startup, and I've already built my base.
That means, right now, it's all about streamlining systems. I'll probably need to be more selective about how I spend my time, so I can always devote the bulk of it to my clients.

tl;dr I've been exceeding my minimum monetary for a whole month now, but it's also been pretty stressful and overwhelming at times. Now, I'm focusing on streamlining systems and balancing my time, to give my clients my best without losing my head.

I've hit a 3-week streak! 🎉

Each week I'm feeling more confident about hitting my #minimummonetary, so I'm starting to shift my focus to surpassing it every single week as well.
The #challenge I'm facing now is an internal one.
How can I continue to #grow my business and expand my client list without it taking over my entire life? I want to work hard and #write a lot, but I don't want to let #stress creep in.
I don't want to spend every lunch hour working. I don't want to spend every week night burning the midnight oil. I don't want to sacrifice my weekends to #client work.
That simply means I need to make better use of my time during the day, and be selective about which lunches, evenings and weekends I work. Because at the end of the day, I really love what I'm doing – I just don't want it to be the only thing I'm doing.
I love other things, too.

tl;dr I've hit a 3-weeks streak with my minimum monetary. I want to keep the momentum going, but I'll need to be smarter about how I spend my time, so I'm not a 24/7/365 working machine.

It's been a really good start to the week!

I'm super excited because I've brought on a new client, and we'll be doing a few test projects together. As I've been saying, growing my client list is my major focus this month. This shows that a lot of my efforts in reaching out to potential clients is paying off!
I also had a handful of promising conversations with potential clients. Realistically, I don't expect them all to follow through, but I do hope that the trend of promising conversations turning into test projects continues!
I haven't met my #minimummonetary yet, but I have earned enough so far, that I'll stay out of the red.

#backtowork

tl;dr This week started off really well with landing a new client for a few test projects. I've had a handful of other promising conversations that I am hopeful will turn into more clients.

If I look at my mini goals, this week was a failure, but if I look at my conditional, this week was a success.

And I'm always looking at my conditional.

My #minigoals are just a way for me to meet my #conditional, and this week I not only met my #minimummonetary, but I exceeded it! 🤩
That means I'll be adding to my Piggy Bank 🐽
As far as mini goals, creating content – both for my blog and other platforms – was the area I consistently failed. I need to change my mindset from 'finding time to write for myself' to 'creating time to write for myself'.
That said, increasing my Piggy Bank balance is definitely a boost, because having dry or slow weeks is hard on my entrepreneurial ego. It's also a solid reminder that putting my head down and working hard yields results. 💪 There's even a chance I'll get Bonus Bucks!! 💸
I'm half way into month 5 of #contentwriter #pilotidea, and I think I'm really getting into a groove, here. 😎

tl;dr This week I failed to meet several of my mini goals, but I met my minimum monetary and then some any way! I'm adding to my PIggy Bank, and on Sunday I'll see if I get any Bonus Bucks.

I fell down on one of my mini goals.

I haven't published an article to #LinkedIn – yet!
I've been keeping up on my others like contacting potential clients and publishing on my other platforms. Today, I'm writing a piece for #Medium in between my client work and meetings.
I just need to publish and promote it before the clock strikes 12 🕛
I'm vacillating between nervous 😬 and excited 😁; it feels like a lot to do, but I am enjoying the projects and the process as a whole. I'm confident that I'll hit my #minimummonetary, but I still need to put in the work.
One extra stressor on my plate is self-induced. I've decided to take off Friday in order to take advantage of summer fun. I'll likely work over the weekend to ensure I stay on top of my to-do list, but it does condense how much I want to accomplish into a smaller time block before then.
Mostly, I'm feeling invigorated!

#letsgetshitdone

tl;dr I created an aggressive list of goals for myself. I'm making strides for some, but missed a big one on Monday. So, now it's time to play catch up. I'm both nervous and excited about meeting my minimum monetary. 🤞

This is a new week and I have some new goals.

They're kind of aggressive...

But, I want to exceed my #minimummonetary this week, so I need to be aggressive. My first priority this week is fulfilling my promise to all of my current clients. My second priority, however, is finding new clients, which is where my #minigoals come in.
  • Research and contact 10 new LinkedIn prospects each day
  • Submit portfolio and resume to 5 agencies each day
  • Pitch 5 buyer requests each day
  • Write custom content for a new platform each day of the week:
  • Revisit my daily Instagram strategy
The objective behind each of my goals is to ensure I'm spending time on creating content or connections that will lead to long-term clients.

#backtowork

tl;dr I need to be more aggressive in my approach if I want to exceed my minimum monetary conditional. So, I've set daily mini goals for myself to find new clients, create more content, and promote myself.

I'm back from vacay 🏝

There wasn't a beach, but I did enjoy spending some time with my best friend back home.
This week is basically only about 3.5 days long, because of two reasons. For starters, I took Monday off to spend with said best friend back home. I flew back this morning, but am starting the work day pretty #late. I'll be making tomorrow a short work day for some more planned #travel to see family. It's making for a slightly #stressful week.
While it's stressful, I'm not going to slack off or get discouraged. I just need to work smart and make the most of my hours. I have a strong to-do list, and I'm sticking to my self-made deadlines.

I did get this message while I was gone...

So, this new level has some perks. But to be honest, #Fiverr has been a supplemental platform at best lately. There have definitely been a few weeks where Fiverr has helped me meet a #conditional, and a few weeks ago I probably would have been thrilled to get this new status. Today, I'm nonplussed.
I still view expanding my client base and filling my schedule with #retainer clients as the best way to achieve my #minimummonetary and grow my business.

tl;dr This week is a busy one because I scheduled travel during the work week. Obviously, that's not going to stop me from working hard or getting shit done though.. I did get upgraded to a new Fiverr seller level, but I'm seeing the platform more and more as supplemental to my primary focus: building a strong client list.

I've changed everything

I've been feeling for a while that my system for monitoring my progress on #minigoals and #conditionals was not quite robust enough. I've complained about it a few times like when I said it was forcing me to choose between money and fame from as far back as April.
So, it's been a long time coming, but I did it! I have a new conditional system.

There are a couple really big changes. Probably the biggest two are:

  1. 🚫 There is no more engagement conditional
  2. 🚫 There is no more popularity conditional
Say what!!!
Yup! I just celebrated my 3 month anniversary as a #contentwriter! #Popularity and #engagement are no longer my focus. I need to scale this #pilotidea into a full-blown business. What does that entail?

Well, first of all, like literally every other successful business on the planet, I need to earn a profit.

There is no second of all.
Everything else that we #entrepreneurs focus on like branding, marketing, networking, productivity, sales funnels, pipelines, etc. is just strategies and channels that we are using in the hopes that it will bring in revenue that exceeds our expenses and taxes. So, yeah, #profit.

The other big change I've introduced is a Piggy Bank 🐷

So, it's no longer about #success or #failure, because I've just spent 12 weeks proving that I can not only succeed every single week, but grow tremendously (minimum 50% #growth every week!).
Instead, every time I exceed my #minimummonetary, I add that excess amount into my Piggy Bank. If I don't meet my minimum monetary, I subtract the difference (between my goal and what I actually earned) from my #PiggyBank balance.
It works just like a profit and loss statement. As long as I have bank in my bank, I continue to push forward and grow this business. If my #bankbalance goes negative, I re-roll with a new pilot idea.
Yup, scary as hell!.
But it also reflects the reality we all live in. If you #invest in yourself, build a #business, and turn a profit, great! But if you take all the same steps and go broke or into debt, you close up shop and move on.

I'm also piggy-backing Bonus Bucks onto the Piggy Bank (get it? 😂)

When I exceed my minimum monetary by more 10%, I pay myself a bonus of 10% of that excess called Bonus Bucks. If the next week, I exceed by 20%, then the #BonusBucks are equal to 20% of that excess. Every week, the Bonus % increases for as long as I'm on a streak. Miss a week, and reset.
Bonus Bucks help me to increase my Piggy Bank when I'm doing really well and help me offset the weeks (or months 😔) that are slow. Or, ya know, if I just want to take a vacation. I can use my Piggy Bank balance as a buffer.

I'm really excited about this change and to see what happens this week! 😬

tl;dr I changed my entire conditionals system. I've dropped engagement and popularity altogether. It's all about monetary for business success, which is why I brought in Piggy Bank (to track how I can surpass my goals) and Bonus Bucks for doing really well. It's not about success or failure each week. Now, it's all about keeping my bank balance in the green.
